Yesterday afternoon in the Prefecture the meeting of coordination convened by the Prefect of Ravenna Castrese De Rosa to organize it landing and the reception of the 52 migrants on board the NGO ship Sea Eye flying the German flag. It’s about 46 adult men and 6 minors (aged 16 and 17) of which 4 were unaccompanied.

The Nationality they are Syria (26), Bangladesh (19), Palestine (4), Pakistan (1), Morocco (1), Egypt (1). The disembarkation will take place next Saturday 25 May at 6 pm at the quay Old factory in Marina di Ravenna, as the one at the Porto Corsini Terminal is unavailable due to the presence of a cruise ship. By Italian Red Cross bus 52 people will then be transferred to Pala De Andrè where the expedited health visits and all the police obligations (identification and photo-signalling) and social services of the Municipality of Ravenna will take place.

Migrants they will then be distributed among the various provinces of the Emilia Romagna Region according to the following plan: Bologna 12 (including the 4 unaccompanied minors), Ferrara 3, Forlì Cesena 7, Modena 8, Parma 4, Piacenza 3, Reggio Emilia 6, Rimini 4, while 5 will remain in Ravenna in the CAS of the Province. The 52 people will reach their destination with vehicles belonging to the managers of the various reception centers in Ferrara, Forlì-Cesena, Rimini and Ravenna who will come to pick them up directly at Pala De André, while those destined for the Emilian capital will be accompanied by the Red Cross in Bologna , Modena, Parma, Piacenza and Reggio Emilia (in total 33).

This is the eleventh arrival of migrants for the Port of Ravenna and overall they will have disembarked, starting since the first occurred on December 31, 2022, 1191 people.
