The twinning between the students of class V of the primary school of San Marco D’Alunzio and Sesto San Giovanni, a municipality in the province of Milan, ended with hugs and tears last Friday 17 May in San Marco d’Alunzio.
The idea, promoted by teacher Nicolina Restifo, native of San Marco d’Alunzio, but now a teacher in Sesto San Giovanni for several years, was born last May thanks to a thesis developed in class on San Marco d’Alunzio. The proposal was immediately accepted by the mayor Filippo Miracula, which allowed this twinning to materialize.
A week, from 13 to 17 May, full of moments of sharing, immersed in the beauty of Borgo Aluntino, also discovering typical dishes, local products and companies present in the area.
The Aluntini students acted as guides to their classmates from Sesto, in an exchange of cultural and historical information with the aim of creating new bonds and “true and real” friendships between peers in an era where relationships are only virtual.
The project also involved the primary class IV and the secondary class 1C of San Marco with a musical orientation, with the creation of a harmonious show with the notes of “Ciuri Ciuri” and “O mia bella Madunina”.
A special educational trip for the “little Milanese tourists”, which allowed the wonderful Borgo Aluntino to be known and promoted not only from a historical-cultural point of view. They certainly left indelible memories in everyone’s hearts with the hope of being able to see each other again in a few years.
