On the Riviera, three important volunteer organizations join forces to organize an initiative to benefit the environment and the beaches in particular. They are Legambiente, the Rotary Cesenatico Mare and the young people of Rotaract Cesena, who have given life to Spiagge Pulite 2024. The first appointment is Sunday 26 May, starting from 10 in the morning, on the free beach of Ponente in Cesenatico. In recent days the three associations have launched an appeal with Legambiente in the lead: “We invite all citizens, whether residents or tourists, to participate together with us to free our beaches from plastic and waste. The initiative is open to all people who intend to carry out a virtuous activity, in particular to remove plastic and micro plastic, which are dangerous for fish and sea turtles, but also for the pollution of the seas, therefore for us humans too. Thank you thanks to the intervention of thousands of volunteers who every year participate in Spiagge e Fondali Puliti, the denunciation campaign that we dedicate to the fight against mismanaged and uncivilized waste, we are able to keep attention high on this serious environmental emergency”. This year’s slogan is “Clean Beaches? You pinch us!”, and it is a real call to responsibility, to invite everyone to collaborate on the front line for the regeneration of marine and coastal places. The invitation is also to post photos of particular or strange waste found on the beaches on social media, reporting the place of discovery, using Instagram stories, as well as tagging the Legambiente profile and the hashtag #SpiaggeFondaliPuliti.
