“There was great synergy between all the institutions, the mayor of Naples, the president of the Region, the technicians, the mayors of Pozzuoli and Bacoli and therefore the machine worked very well. We must ensure that the state of fear or panic that a population may have is weakened because the escape routes also work when the other element of a psychological nature is present. It’s true that there were some traffic jams on the escape routes and this was the reason why we immediately ordered an upgrade of the traffic services both through the local police and the traffic police, precisely to avoid any traffic jams in the event of an escape. Escape routes must be free, this is the first requirement“.
