Raffaele Gaetano’s Leopardi at the Palazzo Reale in Milan

Silent Moon and other sublime Leopardi works: the new book by Raffaele Gaetano on the poetry of Giacomo Leopardi

On Thursday 23 May, at 6.00 pm, the prestigious conference room of Palazzo Reale in Milan will host the presentation of the new book by Raffaele Gaetano dedicated to the sublime in the poetics of Giacomo Leopardi.

The work, entitled Silenziosa Luna e altri sublime leopardiani, presents itself as a refined editorial product in which the scholar’s decades-long and appreciated research are accompanied (and harmonized) with ten original watercolors specially created by the well-known artist Max Marra.

The theme of the sublime, moreover, accompanies all of Leopardi’s work, although the poet only rarely refers to it.

Silenziosa Luna is published by the publisher LI (Libritalia group), who intended to focus on a work whose captivating editorial characteristics (an opening box set with the book and ten original drawings by Max Marra in extractable mode), make it one of the products most original ones dedicated to the great poet from Recanati in recent years.
