“On the afternoon of Tuesday 21st, rainfall was still widespread, especially in the central-eastern areas, locally with heavy showers and some thunderstorms. By the evening there will be a tendency towards thinning and attenuation starting from the west and south. Wednesday 22nd unstable weather with much more discontinuous and irregular rainfall, but with the possibility of showers and some locally intense thunderstorms“: this is what the Arpav experts report in relation to the expected weather situation Veneto in the next few hours. As regards the general evolution, in the usual bulletin we read: “A moderate cyclonic circulation continues to feed over central-western Europe, which conveys humid air of maritime origin to our region; the period is therefore characterized by irregular cloudiness, expected with a certain frequency and associated with various phases of precipitation“.
Today sky in the mountains from overcast to very cloudy, in the plains from very cloudy or overcast to irregularly cloudy with more significant clearings from the south; rainfall in the mountain areas ranging from widespread to sparse and in the flat areas ranging from sparse to local, however more present in the central-northern areas, with some possible showers or thunderstorms; some local intense phenomenon is not excluded; snowfall level slightly lowering, from over 3000 m up to 2500-2800 m.
According to the weather bulletin from the Arpa Veneto experts, Tomorrow the weather will be unstable, with more persistent clouds in the mountains and clearer spells more present in the plains.
Precipitation: Scattered to rather widespread phenomena, including showers or thunderstorms, more frequent in mountainous areas and starting from central hours; some local intense phenomenon is not excluded; snowfall limit at 2500-2800 m.
Temperatures: Minimum falling; for the maximum, limited local variations in the mountainous areas and limited decrease in the flat areas.
Winds: At altitude from the northern quadrants, weak to moderate; elsewhere weak with variable direction, except for some phases of moderate strengthening from the south-west over the south-eastern areas until the morning.
Sea: Not very rough at first, but tending to become almost calm, especially along the coast.
Thursday 23 unstable weather, with more persistent clouds in the mountains and more clear spells in the plains.
Precipitation: Phases of scattered or at times rather widespread phenomena, including showers or thunderstorms, more present in internal areas in the second part of the day; snowfall limit slightly lowering, up to around 2300-2600 m.
Temperatures: Limited local variations.
Winds: Moderate to weak at altitude, mostly initially from the northern quadrants and then from the south-western ones; elsewhere generally weak with variable direction, except for occasional moderate reinforcements on coastal areas.
Sea: Almost calm, or at most temporarily slightly rough offshore.
Friday 24th very cloudy to irregularly cloudy sky, with clear spells probably more significant in the plains; probable local to temporarily scattered rainfall, including downpours or thunderstorms, especially in the Pre-Alps and adjacent areas in the afternoon; snowfall level rising to around 2600-2900 m; limited local variations regarding minimum temperatures, increase in maximum temperatures.
Finally, according to the weather forecasts of Arpa experts, Saturday 25th Variability is expected in Veneto, with significant clearings and more frequent cloud accumulations in the mountains; some phases of scattered precipitation, modest until the morning and a little more likely in the flat hinterland, in the afternoon hours also of a shower or thunderstorm nature and more present in the mountainous areas, with snowfall limit at 2700-3000 m; limited local variations regarding minimum temperatures, with a prevalence of increases in the central-southern areas; maximum temperatures increasing especially on the north-eastern plain.
