Sifting through the 2024 holiday plan of Ulss 6 Euganea, which has the aim of guaranteeing all employees the consumption of summer holiday days equal to 15 continuous days for the entire period June-September, in some departments the sustainability of beds is guaranteed with additions of staff recovered from remodulations of other departments, remodulations of the activity, hiring and collaborations. The most critical area is the emergency room which requires hours of purchasing of services to cover shifts. At the Schiavonia hospital, the operational units of general medicine, multi-specialist medicine and geriatrics are supported with the hiring of five nurses. As regards Week Surgery, compared to the current 30 beds, from 17 June to 15 September only two places will be available for remodeling of beds in the surgical area. At the Piove di Sacco hospital in the Surgery-Urology operational unit from the current 25 beds for the period July-September there will be a change of four fewer places for a total of 21 places available.
