Piano duo of Giulia Olivieri and Paola Montemurro in concert
The Duni Conservatory of Matera announces the seventh appointment of the “Chamber Music” chamber season, which will be held on Friday 24 May at 7.00 pm in the suggestive Rota room of the Conservatory. The evening will feature an exceptional piano duo, composed of Giulia Olivieri and Paola Montemurro, daughter and mother respectively.
Giulia Olivieri, a young but already established piano teacher at the Conservatory of Potenza, has achieved numerous concert successes in Italy and abroad. Her mother, Paola Montemurro, is a renowned and appreciated piano teacher at the Duni Conservatory in Matera.
The musical program of the evening will be a tribute to the Mozart and Mendelssohn families. Works by the famous Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his lesser-known sister, Maria Anna, will be performed. The repertoire will also include pieces from the Mendelssohn family, with compositions by Fanny Mendelssohn and her famous brother Felix.
Entrance to the concert is free, thus offering the opportunity to all music lovers to attend a unique and engaging performance.
