Bringing culture back to Terni and in Umbria. This is the goal of Umbria Forums that in Pala Terni intends to host events of any kind, from sport to entertainment, from exhibitions to fairs and – in the not too distant future – even at the same time.
The versatility of the structure, in fact, lends itself very well to a variety of combinations. Precisely for this reason a new setup with almost three thousand square meters of darkened fireproof black cloth which required eight hundred hours of tailoring work to create the curtains.
«The new temporary setup of the PalaTerni – explains the general director of Umbria Forum Ramona Morelli – accentuates the potential of this multifunctional structure which can host not only large-scale events such as concerts or sporting events, but also theatrical and dance shows rather than company conventions”.
The sumptuous curtains hide the steps and surround the audience which can accommodate up to two thousand two hundred people to offer an even more engaging experience as it was for the show “Juliet” and how it will be for “Beatbox Magical Mystery Story” the musical about the history of Beatles with Carlo Massarini which will be held on Saturday 25 May at 9pm.
The new layout, which among other things was already thought of by the architects during the design phase of the structure, is accompanied by two ledwalltwo schemes measuring 4×8 meters, supplied by Samsung and produced in Europe specifically for this project, considered strategic for Italy.
Naturally the bleachers will be available for larger events such as concerts and sporting events. «The PalaTerni is truly functional and ideal for hosting events of any type that have no space either in the city or in Umbria because this structure can be transformed into a contemporary theatrebut it can also become a space for film productions, fashion shows, art exhibitionsrather than hosting conferences. In short, you can do anything here because it is truly versatile and we try to make the most of its potential.”
In fact, the goal, as mentioned, is also to host several events at the same time. «Yes because there are, in addition to the main field, a whole series of accessory spaces ranging from forty to four hundred square meters, located in the two lateral wings of the PalaTerni. This gives us the possibility of hosting, even simultaneously, events of different types and sizes, in the space deemed most suitable.”
Also because there is the entire external part of the structure that can be used by opening the hangar door measuring twenty-five by thirteen metres. Finally, it should be underlined that all supplies come from local companies, developing a great spin-off.
