Francavilla Al Mare The Michetti Museum was the scene of a very important cultural event last May 18, 2024 at 5.30 pm in Francavilla Al Mare. The Sardinian Association Aps Dimonios Abruzzo and Molise presented the master’s latest work Ernani Catenathe book “Songs of Sardinia. Homage to Salvatore Nuvoli”. The event saw the participation of notable guests from the world of entertainment and established an important cultural twinning between Sardinia and Abruzzo. The vice president of the Association and teacher Franco Becconi presented and coordinated the event, with the indispensable support of the Central-South Youth Phases manager Asia Pisu. The official opening was entrusted to the president of the Association, Giuseppe Pisu, who welcomed those present with institutional greetings. Among the authorities who attended, in addition to Ernani Catena, also the mayor of Francavilla Al Mare, Luisa Russo (whom the Sardinian club thanks for the availability and interest shown in this event) and the maestro Davide Cavuti. The evening was enriched by the participation of the dance and singing group Dimonios, whose members, wearing the group’s uniform, contributed to creating an authentic and engaging atmosphere. Alongside them, the Francesco Paolo Tosti folk choir of Francavilla Al Mare, who with traditional clothes further underlined the cultural union between the two regions.
Maestro Catena, in his speech, underlined that Sardinia and Abruzzo, with this musical work, are united between the notes of the popular songs rich in feelings and passions described by the Sardinian musician Salvatore Nuvoli. Similarly, Maestro Cavuti in his speech underlined the importance of intercultural exchange between Regions, and beyond, hoping for a more collaborative future between peoples. The event was not only a cultural moment, but also a meeting and sharing point between two communities who, despite coming from different backgrounds, were able to find contact in music and popular traditions.
