Maria Vittoria Cipriano underlines that her program proposes a concrete alternative to ensure Brolo has a future of innovative and sustainable development.
“Our objective is a new social, environmental and economic development that starts from the affirmation of people’s rights,” says the candidate.
The meeting with traders will be an opportunity to discuss the guidelines necessary to promote the economic and tourist identity of Brolo.
Cipriano highlights the importance of defining concrete strategies to counteract the current economic stagnation of the local commercial sector. “I see many vacant premises, shops that no longer exist. It is not only the fault of the economic crisis, but it is necessary to find new inputs to relaunch the commercial image of the country,” he declares.
The candidate plans to implement its program in successive phases, prioritizing emergencies and planning broader interventions. “Commerce, like tourism, is our priority” explains Cipriano.
Among the specific proposals for trade, Cipriano mentions the commercial valorisation of the districts and the establishment of trade forums with experts. These forums will aim to promote collaborations with local and regional bodies from the economic, trade union and professional world, as well as with universities and research centers to encourage innovation and continuous training. Another innovative idea is the creation of the “Shopping Seafront”, together with strategies to attract external investments that can develop the social and economic fabric, expanding the training and employment offer.
“We will treasure past experiences, but our gaze is turned to the future. Other points for discussion will include the completion of the process of forming the General Urban Plan (PUG), the widespread hotel project and the development of the historic centre, which must become an opportunity for everyone and not just for a few.
