It will be the setting for the former Salesian complex in via San Giovanni Bosco 1, Wednesday 22 May at 9pmto host the MEP Alessandra Moretti for the presentation of the book “The revolutionary life of a common woman”. The book recounts her experience in the European Parliament, highlighting her battles on behalf of women, migrants and young people.
Together with Alessandra Moretti, again candidate of the Democratic Party in the European elections of next 8 and 9 June in the north-east constituency, the mayor of Faenza will speak at the meeting Massimo Isola and the regional councilor and president of the Economic Policies Commission of the Legislative Assembly Manuela Rontini.
Alessandra Moretti, lawyer and politician, young deputy mayor of Vicenza, was elected for the first time in Europe in 2014 with over 230 thousand preferences before resigning and agreeing to challenge Zaia’s Veneto from the left in the 2015 regional elections. From that experience she set off towards new goals which led her to be elected European Parliamentarian in 2019.
In her book Alessandra Moretti talks about her personal and political experience. She describes the challenge of balancing family life and public commitment, including the decision to move to Brussels and work on a short-term divorce law.
