Mourning in the world of medicine: Giuseppe Malizia, 68 years old, head of the complex gastroenterology operational unit of the Cervello hospital, of the Villa Sofia – Cervello hospital in Palermo, has died. The company itself announced the death.

Many experiences abroad including that of researcher at the Respiratory & Critical Care Division of Washington University in St. Louis, in the USA, where he worked on the role of growth factors in the fibrogenetic mechanisms of liver cirrhosis and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis .

malizia had also been a researcher at the Medicine department of the ST. James’s University Hospital in Leeds (Great Britain) in the field of immunological mechanisms in celiac disease and in inflammatory intestinal diseases, as well as in that of computerized prediction systems in upper digestive bleeding, had also been responsible for Italy and member of the project management group of the Comac-Bme Project on Objective Medical Decision Making in Acute Abdominal Pain (AAP1).
