Syracuse, Spinelli: “It’s not easy to get the better of Reggio Calabria. Group has demonstrated its value above average”

Fernando Spinellicoach of Syracuse who beat Reggio Calabria in the play off final, said:

“What more can I ask for from these guys? They have proven once again that they have above-average value. I told them that closing in this way was important to highlight the work they had done. We must underline the qualities of this group, certainly my staff and I worked a lot, but without these extraordinary guys it was difficult to achieve all this.

It was obvious to find difficulties in a final, among other things against a really strong team. In one match we played two or three matches. They started well, we could have done better, but obviously after the expulsions everything changed. In the second half we changed pace, we were really good. We must give credit to these guys, whoever entered had great motivation, we must thank people like De Caro or Arcidiacono who were in the stands.”
