MODENA FC, RIVETI REVOLUTION: VAIRA FIRED

Davide Vaira is no longer Modena’s Sports Director. The Rivetti family relieved him of his duties – despite a contract until June 2025 – at the end of a corporate meeting which took place this morning and was attended by Vaira himself, Carlo Rivetti and his son Matteo.

The news of Vaira’s probable dismissal had already begun to circulate on Saturday, with a frenetic tom tam of rumors on social networks.

Today the confirmation of the dismissal.

Vaira leaves Modena after three seasons: the first was triumphant, with promotion to Serie B, the second was still positive (with a 10th place), but this last season was disappointing, with many market errors and the missed leap of quality in the rankings (another 10th place) to cause discontent and the company’s choice to terminate the relationship. There are now at least two possible replacements for Vaira: Pasquale Foggia and Giuseppe Magalini. At this point, the position of Pierpaolo Bisoli also remains in the balance. Despite the contract until 2025, there is increasingly talk of Modena’s interest in Pippo Inzaghi.
