Disbelief and pain in Santeramo and Altamura for the death of the 17-year-old boy from Santeramo, Giuseppe Cacciapaglia, who died yesterday in the countryside of Santeramo after being struck by lightning during the storm. He was in the countryside with his father, in the Chiancaro district, when the tragedy occurred.

He studied in Altamura and his school, the Nervi Galilei Technical and Technological Institute, expressed its condolences with a message on Facebook, communicating that Giuseppe was one of its students. Yesterday’s message: “Our school community is deeply shocked following a tragic accident which occurred in Santeramo, to one of our students, Cacciapaglia from 3aitel who died after being struck by lightning”.

And a photo, in which the boy is engaged in a football match. With a dedication: “Giuseppe you will live forever in our hearts”. On social media, messages of sadness and condolence are increasing hour by hour for a death that leaves everyone breathless and speechless. According to the reconstruction, Giuseppe was struck by lightning, fell, got up from the ground with his last strength and then collapsed again, lifeless, due to electrocution. Death occurred due to cardiac arrest.
