Liguria. In the Savona area, more precisely at the Moby Dick Festival Riviera di Noli, the intervention of head of the youth sector of Genoa Michele Sbravati on the topics “Sport, young people and values”.

Also present at the event, but connected from Milan, was Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta. Sbravati particularly appreciated the exchange with the neroazzurro director: “A pleasure to meet director Marottawho highlighted what one of his future goals could be to deal with young people. The sector needs improvementespecially for the relationship with the school system, for the training of professionals who are crucial when they have the responsibility of dealing with young people. We hope to be able to do something every day not only for professionals but also for grassroots sport, creating better athletes and preferably men“.

And this is precisely the objective that the rossoblù manager follows, in the company since 2007: “What we are asked to do is complete the path that starts from football school and reaches professionalism. The percentage is not very high but fortunately in Genoa we managed to raise it and over the years many Ligurians have done so, disproving the concept that professional footballers could not be trained in Liguria due to structural difficulties. We are proud of it and try to create a healthy environment in all categories. Team results are pleasing but they are not the main mission: that is the path of our boys.”

In recent weeks, a rumor has been circulating about a Juventus’ interest in him. A desire that seems to come from the sporting director himself Cristiano Giuntoli, with whom he shared an experience as a footballer among the ranks of Imperia. “This is a moment in which newspapers and social media assign roles, benches and desks everywhere. I’ve read some too and right now it doesn’t concern me why I still have one year left on my contract with Genoa and I have had a relationship with this company for many years – declares Sbravati -. It’s nice to see the interest of other clubsas has happened in the past, but I think that this consideration should be extended to the entire working group. The awards obtained are for Genoa with its coaches and managers who, in difficult structural conditions, have carried out an extraordinary job and my thanks go to them“.
