PNRR, Minister Fitto responds to ANCE Puglia: ”No cuts in resources”

”In relation to the concerns of the ANCE on the PNRR investments in Puglia, once again, after Sicily, we are called to intervene to re-establish correct information and to avoid useless and incomprehensible alarmism for businesses and citizens as there is no no cuts in resources. In detail, all the interventions referred to, moved by the PNRR in agreement with the European Commission for objective reasons, have, as is known, found financial coverage under the PNRR Decree-Law, converted into law at the end of April”. Thus the Minister for European Affairs, the South, Cohesion Policies and the PNRR, Raffaele Fitto, in reference to the projection developed by ANCE, which hypothesized the risk of cuts of 860 million euros for urban regeneration works in the Puglia region.

”In this context, it is highly desirable for ANCE to pay greater attention to the implementation of the Plan, which proceeds according to the pre-established timetable, with the completion of the executive planning of the works and the consequent opening of the construction sites”.

”To date – highlights Minister Fitto – the success of the Plan depends above all on the ability of companies to carry out the interventions within the expected timescales, in full compliance with the criteria and conditionalities of the PNRR. I hope that yesterday’s clarification on Sicily and today on Puglia will serve to avoid further communications that do not correspond to reality”.
