The non-stop connection to the Big Apple will launch from May 25th

The countdown has begun for the Delta Air Lines flight from Naples to New York-JFK and the next one May 25th the carrier will launch its new daily non-stop connection. In addition to offering direct service to New York, the flight will also give passengers the option to continue their journey with connecting connections via Delta’s JFK hub to more than 70 destinations across North America.

Commenting on the new flight, Matteo Curcio, Delta Senior Vice President for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India he said:After Rome, Milan and Venice, Naples will be the fourth Italian city served by Delta from the United States. The Neapolitan city, with the Campania region and the Amalfi Coast, is a highly sought after destination in the US market, and we are convinced that our service will benefit the region’s economy with regards to incoming tourism, as well as offering greater connectivity from Naples to the United States than any other carrier”. Matteo Curcio continued: “Italy is a very important market for Delta and this summer we will fly our largest transatlantic network ever.”

This summer, Delta will increase its flight offering from Italy to the United States by 17% year over year, confirming the US carrier’s leadership in connections between Italy and the United States. In 2023, Delta carried more than one million passengers between the two countries.

The new route responds to a strategic vision that favors a quality network, made up of 116 destinations, of which 20 hubs from which, thanks to the capillarity of connections, it is possible to reach, with a single transit, any part of the world. Delta will operate the new flight to Naples using a 211-seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft, featuring Delta One lie-flat, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin classes of service. All passengers can choose from numerous food and beverage options, which include carefully curated menus, specialty snacks and choices of premium beer, wine and spirits. Passengers also enjoy a wide choice of entertainment options on board.

During the 2024 summer peak months, Delta will operate up to 94 weekly flights between Italy and the United States. In addition to the Naples route, Delta’s overall schedule will include direct connections from Rome Fiumicino to New York-JFK, Atlanta, Boston and Detroit, from Milan Malpensa to New York-JFK and Atlanta, and from Venice Marco Polo to New York -JFK and for Atlanta.

Outstanding operational performance, commitment to safety and premium customer service earned Delta the title of 2024 Airline of the Year by Air Transport World. The carrier also ranked 11th on Fortune’s 50 Most Admired Companies 2024 list, and is America’s most awarded airline. Delta continues to develop its premium service offering, and next month will open a new premium lounge at New York JFK with an exceptional level of hospitality and service. Furthermore, by the end of 2024, fast and free wi-fi will be available on all transatlantic connections, in all classes of service. At the moment, on Delta transatlantic flights it is possible for all passengers to use messaging (Whatsapp, Messenger and SMS) for free.

Delta’s flight from Naples to New York-JFK for summer 2024 will be operated in collaboration with European partners Air France, KLM and Virgin Atlantic as follows:
