“In recent years as a municipal councilor I have promoted, in collaboration with local sports associations, initiatives aimed at promoting the practice of sport precisely for its social, educational and preventive role” – declares the municipal councilor and candidate of Fratelli d’ Italy Ethel Moreno.
Initiatives that have resulted in three editions of the “Sport all’open” and “Sanremo in sport” projects, which made it possible to carry out physical activities within the municipal parks and to approach new sports through a rich calendar of free sports lessons.
“My future commitment will be aimed at realizing the Sports consultancy which involves all sporting entities in order to plan periodic meetings on projects, initiatives and events”.
“It will be necessary promote them sport events that the local sports associations will undertake to implement, recognizing the necessary support and contributions. To this end, my commitment will be aimed at re-realizing and making permanent the Sanremo celebration in sport, currently canceled by this Administration from the sports calendar, which had seen, in the last edition, 33 associations involved in a multi-sports course which transformed Villa Ormond into an open-air gym with the presence of around 2500 people including children, teenagers and families. A day of sport that could extend from the South-East promenade to the entire park of Villa Ormond and which could directly involve schools, enriched with sports days dedicated to disabilities and the elderly”.
It will be essential to proceed with one serious redevelopment of sports facilities because it is unacceptable that our children have to practice sports activities in gyms where it rains or where there is no heating or minimal maintenance. Finally it will be my commitment to propose the ’10 cum laude in physical activity’ project with which the Municipality gives away 10 hours of motor sports activity within schools in collaboration with local sports associations”.
