Costa Smeralda vigilantes: «Stop extraordinary». Slowdowns in controls

No more overtime to cover shifts longer than seven hours, is the first protest initiative by the security staff of the Costa Smeralda airport. A difficult situation is announced in the Olbia airport after a series of meetings between the trade union organizations and the supervisory institute Coopservice Spa.

The Uil Tucs (Commerce, tourism and services workers) has communicated to the Geasar (airport manager), the Prefecture and the Police Headquarters that we are moving towards the strike of the security personnel registered with the acronym.

The secretaries of Uil Tucs, Andrea Lai and Daniel Deiana write: «In the constant state of unrest, the workers adhering to the protest they will not guarantee the completion of overtime, therefore services exceeding seven hours will not be guaranteed».

Are expected slowdowns and inconveniences in passenger control operations. The union acronym asks for financial compensation that rewards “the use of a professional qualification not contractually foreseen”. Uil also requested the convening of the table “in order to jointly examine the possibility of reaching an agreement that can avoid further protest actions”
