Ukraine is calling initiative linked to Ukrainian support, to raise funds and raise awareness about the war
The ambulance completely destroyed by war bullets will be placed in the heart of Alessandria. From 18 to 20 May, the ambulance that is touring all over Europe – brought with a tow truck, is unusable – will also stop in the capital.
The rescue vehicle comes from the Kharkiv area and is testimony to what is happening in Ukraine and how civilians are also in danger every day. Over 10 thousand civilians killed and almost 20 thousand injured, according to local government estimates.
The ambulance is part of the ‘Ukraine is calling’ campaign which is committed to collecting donations to purchase new ambulances in Ukraine. To date, 70 have been purchased.
The concert
The events are organized by the Ukrainian Community of Alessandria group, of which Massimiliano Gilardenghi. together with his wife Olga, they are part. On May 18th at the Cristo Encounter Center (at 4pm), a concert was also organized with Ukrainian folk songs and other music.
Entrance is by donation. The Ukrainian national anthem will be sung in both Italian and Ukrainian and images will be projected to better explain Ukrainian history and culture.
