A I commit formal before the Council: “Regain a vision of Sardinia which was rewarded by the voters, because if we are here to govern our beloved region it is because the numbers are numbers and they say that we have the right to it. And I am pleased that some members of the minority considered it an acceptable and ambitious program. Demonstrating that we will discuss, sometimes even bitterly, how to achieve it, but there will be no prejudicial or ideological divisions on what to achieve”. Alessandra Todde she spoke in the Chamber in via Roma in the reply to the debate on programmatic statements, with some opposition members attacking the new council. “Imply words, demagogy, book of dreams, superficiality, naivety, incompetence, lack of vision, ideas and planning. These are some of the words most used by some members of the minority who have highlighted how my programmatic declarations have been considered inadequate or insufficient”, said the governor, who underlines how her programmatic declarations have “an advantage: their simplicity makes them understandable, controllable, concrete. A simple scheme to use in the future to monitor the progress of our pact with citizens. To measure our commitment and our effectiveness.” On the composition of her council she says: “I am proud of the councilors and certainly, it is not easy to hear judgments of mediocrity when such high peaks of competence were reached in the previous council. And I’m surprised by the scandal caused by a non-Sardinian health councilor.” But Todde underlines: “Considering the situation of the Sardinian healthcarewith the missing budgets of all the local health authorities from 2022, which does not transmit the data to Agenas for monitoring from 2022, it doesn’t seem to me that being Sardinian has made the difference”.
Todde replies on the alleged maxi-staff that the opposition attacked, “failing to remember that the current law was inherited from the previous legislature. But I want to reassure you: we will use the figures functional to the work we have to do and we will not name many of them.” The governor then lists the first steps of her council, primarily on healthcare: “We have approved the adoption of the program for the detection and management of infections in the surgical field and the plan to strengthen the regional palliative care network. We have given the green light to the reopening of the terms of the accreditation procedure for health facilities intended for the provision of home care and the planning of multi-year expenditure for the program to strengthen telemedicine services envisaged in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan”, underlines the president of the Region. And on the energy transition: “We want development on renewables to be guided by our region and create benefits mainly for Sardinians and Sardinian companies and not for speculators. With the awareness that we have to overcome two coal-fired power plants and that gas is needed as transition energy. This is why we want to create the Sardinian energy company with the form of multi-utility, borrowing the example of regions that have already carried out this choice, such as Emilia-Romagna or Trentino. We are aware that to counteract speculation on renewable sources, a clear identification of where to locate the plants is needed. The Government has violated the principle of loyal collaboration: it is two and a half years late on suitable areas and this has created a legislative vacuum that has favored speculation”
