The Taranto Medical Association organizes the ECM course for dentists “Use of aligners in growing patients”
The course will deal with a current topic: the treatment of growing patients with aligners. The mixed dentition represents a critical phase in the oral development of pediatric patients, characterized by the simultaneous presence of deciduous and permanent teeth, and represents a moment in which aligners may present limitations in terms of indications and biomechanics. Treatment in the permanent dentition occurs at a time when this instrument can express its maximum potential, but the patient’s collaboration may not be adequate. Despite this, aligners represent a promising alternative if used for the right indications and with the correct protocols which will be presented in this course.
