Florence will host the preview of the Pisa Robotics Festivalto investigate the relationship between art, virtual environments and artificial intelligence and to show, thanks to special viewers, the first results of the works that “live” in an innovative environment with not yet defined contours, as is the Metaverse.

“Art in the Metaverse” is, in fact, the title of the conference, curated by the Institute of Mechanical Intelligence of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, scheduled for the 17th starting at 9 am in Palazzo Strozzi Sacrati, in Florence.

In parallel with the conference, the exhibition, open to the public, of video installations on the most recent digital works created in the Metaverse will be inaugurated.

The conference and exhibition in Florence are part of the series of events organized as previews in view of the main event in Pisa from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th May. The last appointment of the Robotics Festival will take place at the end of June, in Viareggio (Lucca).

The conference will be opened by greetings from the president of the Tuscany Region Eugenio Giani, from the scientific director of the Robotics Festival Mauro Ferrari, from the conference promoter Massimo Bergamasco, teacher of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna.

During the conference artists and technologists will present the results of recent artistic approaches in Metaverse. At the center of the work is a reflection on productions and performances in the artistic field that concern the constituent components of the Metaverse.
