The Azuni classical high school in Sassari won the final of the Europe School Contest, event organized by the Sardinia ERDF Management Authority – Regional Programming Center as part of the Europe Day.

The final event, which took place in Cagliari in the spaces of the former Manifattura Tabacchi, saw the participation of over 250 people. The contest represented an important opportunity for in-depth analysis and discussion and demonstrated the commitment and preparation of Sardinian students on issues of great importance for the future of Europe.

The competition involved the boys of De Castro classical high school in OristanoofPietro Martini technical economic institute of Cagliariof theF.lli Costa Azara high school in Sorgonoe, in fact, from the DA Azuni classical high school in Sassari. The teams competed in a thrilling match quiz on the fundamental themes of the European Union and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Prize up for grabs a cash voucher to spend on cultural products.

The winning high school was awarded a 1000 euro prize voucher in cultural products. Second place went toPietro Martini technical economic institute of Cagliari, who received a voucher of 400 euros. In third place, the high school F.lli Costa Azara of Sorgono with a premium of 300 euros, while the De Castro classical high school in Oristano took fourth place, also receiving a 300 euro voucher.

At the end of the contest, the intervention of Francesca Raimondi, Senior Program Manager of DG REGIO of the European Commission, who underlined the importance of youth knowledge and participation in European processes.
