Tall ready for the XVII edition of the “Volunteering Festival” of CSV Foggia which will be held on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May 2024 in Piazza Giordano and in Via Lanza, in the heart of the Daunian capital. “Together for social well-being: possible change”, the theme at the center of the two days which will see over 60 entities from the Third Sector of Capitanata come together and promote their activities on the stands and in the conference room.
INAUGURATION, REFLECTIONS AND ENTERTAINMENTS ON SATURDAY – Saturday will begin at 10.00 am, with the opening of the stands and the inaugural ceremony of the party organized by the Volunteer Service Center, with the patronage of the Municipality of Foggia. At 10.30, it will be possible to delve deeper into the experience of “I don’t take risks: civil protection as prevention among citizens”, presented by the Coordination of Civil Protection Volunteering of the Province of Foggia. This will be followed at 11.30 by an interesting debate on the topic of the circular economy, social sustainability and networking, with the contribution of the Banco Alimentare della Daunia “F. Vassalli” OdV. After greetings from the president of CSV Foggia, Pasquale Marchese, Simona Mendolicchio, Councilor for Social Policies of the Municipality of Foggia e Danilo Leonedelegate of the rector for the Third Mission of the Unifg, will speak Stefania Menduno, president of the Daunia Food Bank OdV “F. In the afternoon, at 5.00 pm, it will be the turn of the discussion on the topic of volunteering and the suburbs, with the presentation of the “Participated open schools” project organized by the MoVi Foggia network. At 6.00 pm, we will talk about “Sport and the Third Sector: what changes with the reform and what opportunities in the European context”, thanks to the contribution of the AICS – Provincial Committee of Foggia. After greetings from the president of CSV Foggia, they will speak Giuliana Goduti, secretary of the Order of Accountants of Foggia; Marcello Parisi, accountant and auditor of AICS Foggia; Concetta Soragnese, responsible for European policies AICS Foggia e Gianluca Grieco, organizational manager AICS Foggia; moderate Cesare Gaudiano, provincial contact person for AICS Foggia. At 7.00 pm, in the conference area there will be an in-depth discussion on the “Creation of a territorial ecosystem of the Third Sector to generate social innovation”, presented by the Third Sector Forum and the University of Foggia. The day will be enlivened by popular dances organized by the Ass. Ethnos and will end with a concert by the cultural folk group “I Cantori di Civitate Aps”.
CONFERENCES, MUSIC AND DANCES ON SUNDAY – On Sunday the stands will open at 9.30 am. Half an hour later the awards ceremony for the “Art for Life” art competition will take place. At 11.00, in the conference room we will talk about “Well-being in the ward: volunteers on the front line for the hospital library”. After greetings from Pasquale Marchese and a representative of the Strategic Management of the “Riuniti” Polyclinic of Foggia, speakers will Laura Pipolipresident of the Foggia Misericordia Association, Gabriella Berardidirector of the Biblio-Museum Center of Foggia e Aldo Scirano, psychologist in Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry at the Policlinico Riuniti. They will bring their own testimonies Stefania Giallanella, local project operator of the Universal Civil Service e Giuseppe Pio Padovano, volunteer at the Lucera hospital library; moderate Annalisa Graziano, journalist.
In the afternoon, at 5.00 pm, a debate will be held on the urgent need for the creation of schools of peace, with the presentation of the ISSUP – International School of Studies for Universal Peace. At 6.00 pm, the topic of political education in Foggia will be addressed, with the testimony of the Ass. Looking for an end. The day will continue with popular dances and animated readings by Auser Foggia, to end with the concert “In-Fusioni Italiane. Music for legality” by the Zero33 group, at 8.00 pm.
