Thanks to the precious collaboration of the “EdM ARTELIER” Association chaired by Emanuela Di Mare and the Councilor for Culture of the City of Potenza Stefania D’Ottavio the Meravigliosa Basilicata Photographic Collective after the first stop in the city of Matera, it will be the European Capital of Culture 2019 and a UNESCO heritage site in the capital of Basilicata until 31 May 2024.

Present at the inauguration were the Lucanian photographers Rocco Scattino, Michele Luongo and Maria Grazia Maurella among the promoters of the project for the tourist valorisation of the Lucanian cultural heritage through photography to tell the passions, emotions, identity and daily history of Lucania with one shot.

The regional President of the Pro Loco Basilicata Aps Rocco Franciosa taking part in the inauguration and thanking the Municipal Administration of Potenza and the Councilor for Culture Stefania D’Ottavio for the hospitality offered in the municipal house and the EdM Artelier Association in the person of the President For organizational support, Emanuela Di Mare addressed:

“Congratulations to the promoting photographers present Rocco Scattino, Michele Luongo and Maria Grazia Maurella together with all the participants in the Meravigliosa Basilicata Photographic Collective because through their passion, professionalism and love for the Lucanian territory they are authentic ambassadors of historical, cultural, monumental, environmental and traditional beauty and through their photographic shots they manage to best represent the enormous potential contained in the Lucanian towns“.

Over twenty-four shots for more than twenty authors including Alessandro Viggiani, Anna Maria Manzara, Angela Mongelli, Antonio Mormando, Damiano Pipino, Emanuele Montemurro, Enza Berardi, Francesco Zuccaro, Gabriele Lopatriello, Giovanni Antonio Lombardi, Giovanni Rucireta, Giuseppe Lo Franco, Marco Cavallo, Maria Grazia Maurella, Michele Bonelli, Michele Luongo, Raffaele Clemente, Rocco Scattino, Sergio Canniello and Stella Zambrella.

The stop in the Lucanian capital is carried out in collaboration with the Municipal Administration and with Edm Artelier of Potenza.

The organizers Rocco Scattino and Maria Grazia Maurella explain:

“The objective of this collective is safeguard and enhance Lucanity.

The exhibition can be visited every day, in the atrium of the Municipality of Potenza in Piazza Matteotti, from Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm until May 31, 2024“.
