Brain diseases and development, world experts in Pisa

How diseases alter brain development. This is the theme of the international seminar which, on Saturday 18 May at the Palazzo della Carovana, will see numerous world experts in the field of medicine meet in Pisa.

The initiative is organized by the Scuola Normale Superiore and the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, in the persons of Tommaso Pizzorussoteacher of the Biology Laboratory of the Scuola Normale Superiore, Michele Emdin And Paola Togninirespectively coordinating professor and researcher of the Interdisciplinary Center of Health Sciences of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, together with Michela Fagioliniprofessor at Boston Children’s Hospital (Harvard University) and Laura Baroncellisenior research scientist at the Institute of Neuroscience of the CNR in Pisa.

The workshop will include seminars And discussions with international experts from universities in the United States and Europeans.

A particular space will be dedicated to the active participation of young from the scientific community during the dedicated lunch session in the cloister of the Palazzo della Carovana, with the presentation of poster by university students, doctoral students and postdocs and research fellows. Antonino Caridirepresentative of the “CDKL5 Insieme Towards Cure” Association and member of the Board of the CDKL5 Alliance, will intervene to discuss the daily challenges face it come on parents of children suffering from serious neurodevelopmental disorders.
