BUSTO ARSIZIO – How many times do you hear that nothing is done in the city for younger people and for the peripheral neighborhoods? Saturday 18 May “The Big One” will finally be able to deny this rumor (or observation): at the park in via Totò De Curtis in Sant’Anna is scheduled a rap party dedicated to the very young. A free event organized as part of the BA Trainspotting project which involves the municipal administrations of Busto Arsizio, Fagnano Olona and Marnate together with the cooperatives and associations that deal with youth hardship. There will be lots of music, with the special guest Damo Neversleepa contest for young rappers, 4Exodus Street food and an infopoint on Informagiovani.
The event
The consortium composed of the Municipalities of Busto Arsizio (lead body), Marnate and Fagnano Olona, with the Varese Employment Centre, Exodus Foundation, Cooperativa Davide Onlus, Cooperativa Elaborando, Cooperativa Totem, Cooperativa Centro Terapia dell’Adolescence, organizes the first of three events planned within the BA Trainspotting project. Is called “The Big One” and will take place on Saturday 18 May from 6pm to 11pm in the park: it’s a party for young people and families at the park in via Totò De Curtis in the Sant’Anna district of Busto Arsizio. There will be music, fun, sharing and the opportunity to delve deeper into the offers dedicated to young people organized by the area. The Municipality defines it an evening dedicated to young people and the neighborhood which hosts the event. A free event to be together and share a space, that of the recently inaugurated De Curtis Park, that could be conceived and experienced as a place of celebration and aggregationfor kids but also for all ages.
Rap and street food
The musical evening will be open give it special guest Damo Neversleepfollowed by Dosky La Suite, Coki Benz, Delli, Carlero Sick, Sokol, Ema libe with his DJ set. At the end of the performances the artists themselves will be the jury for a rap music contest dedicated to young people: to participate in the contest you need to register at [email protected]. He’ll be there “First Fried” Street Food, a street trading activity, with the supply of fried products (in particular Panzerotti and Fritters). This is a project curated by 4Exodus social cooperative, which experiments with an innovative Social Business model, offering concrete opportunities for work reintegration to disadvantaged people. Work as a priority objective, but also a tool for creating bonds, a sense of belonging to the community, social identity.
Everything “Instagrammed”
There Ba_Trainspotting Agency, coordinated by Cooperativa Davide Onluswill be present with his team of young creatives coming from some secondary schools in the area, who will film and interview to document the event in order to create Post for the Instagram channel ba_trainspotting. In fact, the Instagram channel was opened to convey initiatives, messages and offers aimed at young people: and who better than young people themselves is able to speak effectively to their peers? Not only interesting information but also a space to give kids a voice. The Informagiovani stand will also be present promoted by the “Fili Urbani, connecting the city” project, managed by the operators of the cooperatives Elaborando, Naturart, Villaggio in città, Fondazione Pime and 26per1.
