Aversa. Mother and daughter try to smuggle drugs into prison

Two women caught delivering drugs to the Aversa prison, in the province of Caserta.

They are a mother and daughter, who were later reported for attempting to deliver hashish during the interviews.

The two Penitentiary Police drug-sniffing dogs Tyson and Spike discovered them.

The dog unit smelled the presence of drugs in the mother’s trousers and in the handbag of her daughter, who is just 19 years old.

Both were reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for attempted introduction of a narcotic substance.

“Nowadays we fight a daily war – comment Ciro Auricchio and Giuseppe Moretti, respectively regional secretary and president of the USPP – due to the continuous attempts to introduce drugs and cell phones into prisons”.

The two trade unionists recall that “in Campania, where 800 officers are missing, the need to equip the prison police with technologically advanced tools has long been urgent”.

“To the officers of the Aversa prison – conclude Auricchio and Moretti – who, although understaffed, still manage to maintain order and internal security”.

“We applaud the two splendid Belgian Shepherd Malinois specimens of the Avellino anti-drug detachment, Spike and Tyson, for the result obtained”.
