TURIN – Piedmont weather: very cloudy sky with more compact clouds in the Alpine mountain and foothill areas and local clearings in the southern sector in the afternoon. Precipitation: scattered showers and thunderstorms, of moderate or strong intensity, which pass from the Alpine mountains onto the plains; more intense and persistent phenomena in the northern sector, drier in the south-eastern sector. Snow level at 2000-2200 m in the Pennine and Lepontine Alps. Thermal zero: decreasing at 2600-2700 m, with values at 2500 m in the Alps. Winds: moderate or locally strong southerly in the mountains and weak from the eastern quadrants in the plains, with sustained reinforcements in the lake area.
