TRIESTE – A boy from 17 yearsPakistani citizen, guest of a host community of from Goriziait remained injured with a knife during a fight which took place yesterday afternoon in via Geppa, in the center of Trieste. According to a reconstruction, the minor would have been attacked by about fifteen boys, probably compatriots, leaving a club. One followed brawl in the streetduring which the 17-year-old reportedly suffered a stab wound to the upper part of his body, near the shoulder.
Police cars and medical aid intervened on site. The 17-year-old was taken to the emergency room of the Cattinara hospital under code yellow. Police investigations are underway to reconstruct the details of the incident and identify those responsible, who fled before the arrival of the police.
In the evening the police officers also intervened following another report of an attack which allegedly occurred in via della Raffineria. A 29-year-old Cuban citizen reported to the police that he had been attacked and beaten with kicks and punches by a dozen people, then fled. The 29-year-old, who suffered facial trauma, was also apparently robbed. The police are now proceeding with investigations and checks, also with the help of video surveillance images.
