Usual appointment with our column “THE FANS’ CORNER” to comment, thanks to your impressions, on the events at Frosinone

Frosinone loses their unbeaten run, which had lasted for six rounds, and loses badly 0-5 against the Italian champions Inter. Giallazzurri perhaps points too excessively, given the good performance offered in the first 45 minutes, by the cynical and ruthlessness of the Nerazzurri, who wake up after the torpor suffered in the sensational defeat in Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo, last week.
For our column “THE FAN’S CORNER”dedicated to Canarian supporters, we interviewed Emiliano Francone, fan who lives in Brescia, but born in Ciociaro and has always been passionate about the yellow and blue colours. Emiliano tells us his opinion on this setback suffered by Frosinone and on this exciting and electrifying final of the Frosinone championship.
“The defeat suffered last night by Frosinone at the “Stirpe” against Inter, I don’t think it could represent a problem. We already knew that it could have happened and a draw would have been gold for us. Then losing 0-1 without ever daring or losing 0 -5 by daring and creating, I think the result would not have changed. At least we are alive and, if we play like this, I am convinced that we will be saved.”
After this defeat, what will Mr. Di Francesco have to be good at next week, to prepare for the very delicate away match in Monza?
“I am sure that, against Monza, the coach will return to setting up the team as he did in the last few days, with more solidity in defence. In the match against Inter, Di Francesco dared as he had done in the first days of the championship but with the risk of finding ourselves in defence. Last night we had a strong opponent like Inter, defeat was predictable, and the coach had no other alternative than to play it in this way. In Monza we will enter the field for a draw and if we are lucky , we could go home with a narrow victory.”
Who is the yellow-blue footballer who most positively surprised you after these 36 championship days?
“There isn’t one player who surprised me in particular. In fact, to put it better, everyone surprised me. I believe that what was missing in many of the yellow and blue boys, eliminating the injury component, was consistency. But all of them they surprised me in a positive way. Perhaps the only player who up to this point has not lived up to expectations has been Demba Seck.”
If you had to name 3 teams that will say goodbye to the top flight, which ones would you lean towards?
“As for the names of the three teams that will say goodbye to Serie A, in addition to the already relegated Salernitana, I say that Sassuolo will be the second relegated team. However, it is difficult to predict which will be the third. In the meantime we can say that Frosinone is alive. And as our Curva Nord intones in the chorus of incitement: ‘Let’s defend it!‘”.
What, if any, is the message of encouragement you want to send to the entire Ciociaria environment and the yellow-blue team, in view of these last two decisive matches of the season?
“I believe that the Frosinone environment must be energised, and thoughts must always be positive. Let us not be influenced by negativity. Then, at the end of the championship we will take stock and analyze everything that was positive and negative. But I think that now we need to think ALONE in a positive way!”
