The “Fair of Beautiful Things” stops in the Cervese Nord district, the appointment with the Mayor and the candidates of the lists for Enzo Lattuca Mayor, has given an appointment to the citizens at the “Cherry Garden” of San Giorgio, to be together and talk on the future of Cesena.

Maurizio Pascucci, candidate for the Fondamenta-Alleanza Verdi Sinistra list, lives here and has a clear idea of what the priorities are to bring to the City Council to enhance this neighbourhood: we need to start from services and traffic reduction and develop the potential offered by the characteristic and typical aspects of its territory.

“If we want to guarantee everyone’s mobility, reduce pollution and improve the quality of life, we must focus much more on local public transport, giving it the priority it deserves as a primary service. Increase in the frequency of trips from the suburbs and less served neighborhoods to the urban center and to the hubs of other means of transport, but also reduction of the costs of season tickets with the “climate ticket” system, and better communication between Start Romagna and citizens, also using variable messaging applications and signs at stops: “it is unthinkable that a person decides to prefer public transport if they happen to wait for the service for hours without knowing whether the vehicle will arrive or not, or how many minutes it will be late”.

“The service must then be improved by modernizing the vehicles, introducing more ecological vehicles, and improving accessibility for people with disabilities, elderly people and families with children and strollers in tow, to guarantee usability for the most fragile users. People will choose the vehicle public with happiness, if it will be cheaper and more comfortable than the private car. A further proposal for the Cervese Nord district is the valorization of the Roman Centuriation, establishing in this context an area of ”Protected natural and semi-natural landscape”, to put in light one of the most typical landscape, historical and cultural aspects of this portion of Romagna. This form of protection does not create particular constraints for citizens, but defends local biodiversity, protecting unique plant and animal species, favoring the presence of pollinating insects by increasing. the resilience of crops to diseases and extreme climatic conditions. Furthermore, it allows us to attract resources to increase the local economy through the development of sustainable tourism, for example by encouraging agritourism and bed & breakfast activities and encouraging the creation of a “widespread hotel”. An economy that benefits from the development of soft mobility (on foot, bicycle) and associated infrastructures such as refreshment points, bicycle mechanics, and from the direct sale of “zero kilometer” agricultural products.

“Our idea of a “wellness valley” that can attract quality tourism is linked to good food, outdoor activities, a beautiful and healthy landscape, and can give an innovative breath to the local economy to create income alternatives for moment not exploited to their full potential. All ideas to be shared and developed together with the townspeople and citizens of Cesena, because from listening and exchanging precious ideas can arise for the positive development of our neighborhood, to transform it into an even more beautiful and livable place”.
