Cesenatico was the capital of synchronized swimming for a weekend. Over a thousand athletes from all Italian provinces met for three days in the municipal swimming pool in via Saffi to compete for the coveted Around Sincro Trophy. To be precise, 1,002 athletes took to the water, representing 37 clubs. Cesenatico is considered a great showcase and every year champions and VIPs present themselves at this facility. The guest of honor of the 2024 edition was Gemma Galli, Olympic athlete of the Italian national team.
The director of Around Sport, Luca Brandolini, is very satisfied: “The event confirmed its high level. There were also excellent results for the local team Rari Nantes Romagna, with great satisfaction for us, organizers of Around Sport, as well as managers of the municipal swimming pool of Cesenatico, and for the families of our athletes. This event brought about 3 thousand overnight stays to the city’s accommodation facilities and this is also a source of pride, given that we live in a place where sport and tourism go hand in hand”.
The home team took first place in the First Girls Trio, second and third in the Overall Duo, second in the Beginners Duo, second in the Junior Doubles, first place in the Girls Doubles, first place in the Beginners Only, first in Girls Only and first place in the Junior Team.
