Last regular season game for the Palermo, who flies to Bolzano to challenge the Südtirol by Federico Valente, ninth in the tournament standings, but mathematically out of the playoff race (four points away from Brescia, eighth).
A goal lost with the draw at Pisa, which however cannot erase the good things done in the last period: 15 points won in the last 10 games (fifth best performance in Serie B) and above all six consecutive games unbeaten within friendly walls. A change of pace compared to the first round which, ultimately, was not enough to repeat last year’s feat led by Pierpaolo Bisoli.
Südtirol’s goal in this last match of the season is to finish in the best possible way in front of their fans. The company also organized different moments of celebration to celebrate a championship that still ended with salvation, despite the vanished playoff ‘dream’. Valente’s men are not on holiday yet.
At the “Druso”, the hosts will take the field with the 3-4-2-1 (HERE the probable lineups), with the sole striker Odogwu which will be supported by Mallamo And Casiraghi. The latter was the great protagonist of the Tyroleans with 16 goals and 7 assists in 35 games, also the result of 11 penalties scored: class, continuity and coolness in front of goal at the service of his teammates.
