The Grand Prix of Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna which will be held in Imola from 17 to 19 May was presented today at the regional headquarters. The last edition held, that of 2022, saw 129,656 spectators at the racetrack, creating a total turnover of 274 million and 167 thousand euros (source Jfc). This year, however, over 200 thousand spectators are expected.

«Imola is ready, both with new investments on the route and on the city – comments Marco Panieri, mayor of Imola -. In particular on the 1,500 meter axis from the station to the racetrack, both with initiatives, events, exhibitions and evening proposals with music, food and entertainment in the historic center and beyond, in the name of Made in Italy and the Motor Valley brand. It will be a shared, broad, dynamic celebration that will involve the whole city, promoting our local, regional and national excellence thanks to an international showcase like that of F1. Already in the days before the GP the city will experience other important moments, including the delivery of the Key to the City to Stefano Domenicali. Furthermore, after the commemoration of May 1st, this year there will be ad hoc initiatives for fans and enthusiasts to remember the drivers Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger, thirty years after their passing.”

«The Grand Prix is a unique opportunity to promote the excellence of Emilia-Romagna and our country – explains the President of the Region, Stefano Bonaccini -. Imola is now a stable event in the F1 calendar. After the cancellation of last year’s test due to the flood that hit this land hard, Emilia-Romagna, land of engines and automotive excellence, is happy to once again welcome the great circus and the numerous enthusiasts ». Bonaccini then spoke about the renewal of the contract for the GP even after 2025. «When we brought Imola back they told us it was impossible. Rest assured that the Imola Grand Prix will remain here.”
