FERMO Entertainment, games for children, food stands, theater shows, market, workshops, music. And again: sports, initiatives with schools, information stands, voluntary associations. This and much more is Ecoday, now in its sixth edition, scheduled for Sunday 12 May in Fermo from 10am to 10pm in Viale Trento which will be closed to traffic for the occasion. A party organized with the active contribution of many cultural, sporting, environmentalist and voluntary associations, social centres, theater groups, all from the city. A way to reclaim a space that for the other 364 days of the year is the main access road to the capital city and which for one day transforms into the epicenter of green events. The initiative started years ago as a bet and over time has become an unmissable event in the Fermo spring. «On Sunday our Viale Trento becomes pedestrian and cycle friendly again from morning to evening, it becomes a place for people from Fermo, for visitors, for people! Come over!”, is the social appeal of the mayor Paolo Calcinaro. Just yesterday in the Municipality the 2024 edition was presented, richer than ever. «Ecoday is a good example of collaboration between sectors, a way to experience the city in a green way in our central street also with the sports associations that promote themselves and the city», said budget councilor Alberto Scarfini. An event which, it was said, «reaches its sixth edition and which was born and we are continuing with conviction. The Asite stand will also inform about the many actions of the subsidiary in favor of the environment”. «The coordination of environmental associations will present an event to be held on May 22nd in favor of Monte Cacciù», the words of the environment councilor Alessandro Ciarrocchi. The city’s schools will participate. Iti Montani celebrates 170 years with a workshop coordinated by Professor Teresa Cecchi on the sustainable recovery of precious metals from WEEE. There will also be theater groups and the “Circo Riciclato” band with instruments made from recycled material.

Boston in 2021

And again: the metabolic walk, the inflatable which becomes a 7 meter wall with CAI and Civil Protection. The inauguration of Ecoday at 12 with flag-wavers and drummers from the Fiorenza district.
