Bologna transfer market – Sartori evaluates Brassier from Brest

Bologna is also moving in the transfer market for defense and is targeting the French central defender from Brest Lilian Brassier. New name, in a department where there had been no particular movement since January. The Bologna managers would have put the French player in their sights, so much so that they would have already explored the possibility of opening a negotiation. Brassier, 24, is blossoming in Brest who are currently third in Ligue 1, almost as much of a surprise as Bologna or more, and could become an interesting shop in the summer.

Brassier, a left-footed central defender to complete the unit?

A natural left-footer, Lilian Brassier is at the age of maturity for a central defender. On November 2nd she will turn 25 and, this season, she is contributing with great performances to the magnificent season of the Breton team. The purchase of her, also considering the technical characteristics, could be linked to the farewell of Riccardo Calafiori. Or, simply, Bologna evaluates Brassier on the transfer market to extend the squad, perhaps with a central defender of the same foot as the Roman. Furthermore, Lilian, like Riccardo, could also play wide on the left if necessary.

Value, competition and market

On the feasibility of an incoming operation for the native player of Argenteuil (a city in the Île de France, the region that probably produces the highest rate of football talent in the world), Bologna is already making some considerations today. In fact, the rossoblù managers would have already had a meeting to understand the margins for setting up an operation. Brassier currently has a contract expiring on June 30, 2025. Brest has little bargaining power and has already received several requests.

Obviously the rating remains in double figures due to the player’s excellent performances. Brassier is worth between 10 and 12 million and, before Bologna, he had also been evaluated for a long time by Milan during the January transfer market session. The Rossoneri had tried, in the person of their chief scout Geoffrey Moncada, to get him at a reduced price or on loan, but they had not succeeded and then decided on Matteo Gabbia’s return to Milanello.
