Presented on Tuesday 7 May, at the Department of Engineering ofMediterranean University of Reggio CalabriaThe ISI 2023 call, the INAIL intervention, now in its fourteenth edition, which provides a non-repayable contribution for companies that invest to improve safety conditions in the workplace. Promoted by the Inail Territorial Directorate, led by Luca Pantusa and by the Inail Provincial Committee chaired by Fabio Giubilo, the event marks an important step forward in the dialogue between all the subjects who place the topic of occupational risk prevention at the center of their respective institutional missions.

Inail, Trade Associations, Trade Unions, Universities, Labor Inspectorate, Professional Associations of Engineers, Accountants, Labor Consultants, Architects, Agronomists, Industrial Experts, Surveyors and Anmil, also in this shared day of work, testify to the common commitment of on the issues of safety in the workplace and prevention.

The words of President Fabio Giubilo

“This is a great commitment in our city – as the president Fabio Giubilo had the opportunity to remind at the start of the works – is cultivated daily and takes on an even more important meaning in the aftermath of yet another unacceptable “workplace massacre” in Casteldaccia. Besides – adds Giubilo – shortly after that “the workers get hurt because they are deficient”, a shocking phrase uttered by a well-known Tuscan entrepreneur, with a turnover of 70 million euros, taken up by Report, which has become sadly known. An unfortunate expression to say the least but which confirms that there is still a lot of work to be done so that we understand that shared commitment and responsibility between employers and workers are the only way to achieve concrete results in terms of safety. Results that are measured, concretely, in a lower number of accidents or worse deaths at work”.

For the second consecutive year, in Reggio Calabria, Inail presents the University Announcement, a prestigious and symbolic venue, which confirms the closeness between the Reggio Calabria University and the territory, possible thanks to the constant commitment of the Rector Giuseppe Zimbalatti and, on this occasion, of the prof. Giovanni Leonardi director of the Engineering Department. For the second consecutive year, the initiative also sees the active participation of the Territorial Labor Inspectorate with the intervention of the new Metropolitan Area director Massimiliano Mura.

The intervention of the Inail Provincial Director
