Two events dedicated to band music

There will be two events dedicated to band music scheduled in Amelia on 10 and 12 May on the initiative of Anbima Terni, in collaboration with Anbima Umbria.

The first will be Friday 10 May at the Edilberto Rosa art gallery with the conference “The musical band: yesterday, today and tomorrow”. Guests will be the president of the Province of Terni, the director of the Briccialdi conservatory of Terni Roberto Antonello, the maestro Maggiore Pantaleo Leonfranco Cammarano, director of the Air Force Musical Band.

We will talk about the world of bandwidth in its entirety and complexity inserted within today’s world, dominated by technology and digitalisation.

On Sunday 12 May at 9pm, in the cathedral of Amelia, the first concert of the new band “Representativa Provinciale Anbima Terni” will be held, directed by maestro Maggiore Pantaleo Leonfranco Cammarano in collaboration with the Amerina Choir and the Polyphonic Choir of Montecastrilli. Carlo Carraro’s mass in Eb will be performed, composed in 1878 in Cavarzere and whose manuscript is preserved in the archives of the diocese of Terni, Narni, Amelia.

The peculiarity of the composition is that it combines the band and the choir with the sounds familiar from Verdi’s works of the mid-nineteenth century.
