Savona. The second edition of the Majolica Festival will be held from 10 to 12 May. After the success of the 2023 edition, the Ligurian municipalities united in the Baia della Ceramica brand return to act as the stage for an event dedicated to art, creativity and culture. On the diocesan territory of Savona on Friday 10 May at 3pm in the exhibition space of the Bishop’s Curia, in Piazza del Vescovado 13R, the “Ceramic-Abili” exhibition will be inaugurated by the Municipality’s CeramicAbili table.

At 6pm in the oratory of the San Pietro Apostolo Parish, in via Untoria 6, it will be possible to visit the ceramic exhibition “4 per 10Keramos” and there will be a musical performance by the Concreta group curated by GULLIarte. In Celle Ligure on Saturday 11 May in Via Consolazione at 11.20 am the inauguration of the “Caruggio Santa Caterina da Siena” will take place with the participation of the Association of Potters’ Art of the noble Contrada del Nicchio and the Cultural Association of Sacred Representations of Caterina from Siena di Varazze.

Again in Savona on Sunday 12 May at 4pm at the Roseto dei Papi, in via Bruno Lichene 3, the doMani association and the Ecological Condominium “Roseto dei Papi” invite to the inauguration of the exhibition “Ecoarte al Roseto”, in which over twenty artists they will present works inspired by ecology and peace. The exhibition can be visited until May 27th every day from 5pm to 7pm or by appointment by calling the telephone number 3293835607, curated by the Pipinin Roseto dei Papi Association and set up by the QuiArte association in collaboration with the Oltreletimbro district and with the patronage of the Municipality.

During the period open to the public, various collateral initiatives will be held, including conferences by Professor Santino Nastasi on “Roses, Gardens, Popes. The history of the Rose Garden of the Popes – Project, symbols and meanings”, Wednesday 15 May at 6 pm, and “When roses meet art. The role and meanings of roses in human history”, on May 22nd at the same time and in the same place. The exhibition and conferences are included in the cycle of events “Roses for Santa Rita. Nature, stories, art”, which will culminate in the celebration of May 22nd, the day in which the roses will be blessed several times in the church of the same name and a solemn mass will be celebrated at 4 pm. The usual stalls will be located all around.

The Maiolica Festival is promoted by the Municipalities of Savona, Albissola Marina, Albisola Superiore and Celle Ligure and by the Riviere di Liguria Chamber of Commerce and coordinated by Confartigianato Savona with the contribution of the Liguria Region and the De Mari Foundation.
