Bergamo, chains the dog to the radiator and abandons him for over a month, causing him to starve. Reported

He left the dog tied to the radiator until it starved to death. An ugly story was discovered by the local police officers of Bergamo, during a check resulting from a report coming from via Codussi. A citizen called to report a strong odor coming from an apartment owned by Aler from which, until a few days earlier, the barking of a dog came. But the dog had stopped barking too and the apartment was now uninhabited. The Local Police patrol arrived at the apartment accompanied by the firefighters: once inside, the workers they found the body of the dog, a medium-sized mutt, now dead and tied with a chain to a radiator. The entire apartment was in conditions of serious hygienic deficiency, with approx 150 dirty diapers on the floor, poorly stored food, waste everywhere. The occupant of the apartment was identified as a woman, LO, 27 years old, from Bergamo, who had left the apartment on 18 March to move in with her mother in a town in the province, and with precedents for child abandonment of the child. She was reported for animal cruelty with the aggravating circumstance of death following mistreatment.

The intervention is part of the budget of the last week of activity of the local police of Bergamo, which carried out ten checks on taxis (without fines), patrols in the neighborhoods of Carnovali, Colognola, Malpensata and Centro with 13 fines for the use of mobile phones by motorists, 22 accidents of which 15 with minor injuries and three fines for scooters on the pavements .

Great effort to monitor traffic, especially due to the changes to the road system and the new road directions in several parts of the city, on the axis of Viale Vittorio Emanuele (where the direction of travel of via Brigata Lupi was reversed and the left turn into via Zelasco was guaranteed: 15 hours of surveillance with 20 operators working in shifts) and more generally at the gates of the ZTL of Città Alta (in via Locatelli, viale Vittorio Emanuele, alley under the Walls of Santa Grata: 24 hours of surveillance with 36 operators per shift).
