Mimmo By Carloafter finishing the requal season with his SPAL without having secured a place in the play offs, he talks about the final rush of the Serie B championship, with some verdicts (see direct salvation) not yet archived with one day left of the regular season. The former rossoverde, 30 appearances in C2 in the 86/87 season, spoke about Bari, in a crisis of results and contested by the square, on stage at the San Nicola against a Brescia already confident of the play off ticket. These are the words he released to TMW:
“Bari must do a feat. When there are these years everyone needs to try to do the feat. He must win and not think about anything, it is the most important moment of the season. The qualities are there. When you change three coaches something doesn’t work but you have to put all the negativity aside.”.
And on the playoff lottery: “This year there could be a surprise and it could be Catanzaro. But Cremonese and Venice have something more. I saw Palermo at the Barbera against Ascoli: they must find their brilliance again, in the playoffs everything will be reset and I hope they can find the right motivation they need”.
Finally on the sprint to Serie A: “Today, Como has an advantage with a two-point lead. But the games must be played and won. Venezia had an excellent championship and must play in La Spezia and it won’t be easy. In football there is always a minimum of unpredictability”.
