A few more days to visit “Et voilà, as you like”. Susanna Marcoaldi’s photographic exhibition, set up at the Museo dei Portici, has in fact been extended until May 12th. Each photographic work by Susanna Marcoaldi is unpublished, and is accompanied by a sonnet, also unpublished, written by the artist herself. “The choice of the title of the exhibition Et voilà, a pleasure to you – explains Marcoaldi – comes from my desire to involve the visitor in an experience that goes beyond the visual impact, in order to induce sensations and emotions in the viewer, for which , the images and texts are just a starting point. There is a common theme that guides the choice of photographic shot and is identified in everyday objects similar to the elements earth, water and air. The photographic composition takes shape from the fusion of these different elements that blend together or change roles”.
Regarding the elaboration of the text, Susanna Marcoaldi explains how “there is no temporal demarcation line with respect to the creation of the image, because words and rhythm constitute a sort of “geometry of thought” in which the “represented figures” are inserted” . The exhibition was inaugurated on April 18th, in the presence of the culture councilor Alfonso Antoniozzi. Susanna Marcoaldi’s other works are exhibited in her permanent gallery in via Cesare Dobici 23-29.
The exhibition can be visited until May 12th during the museum’s opening hours, i.e. every day from 10am to 7pm, with last entry at 6pm. Entry is free for residents of the municipal area, children under 12, disabled people and school groups from Viterbo.
