It took place at D’Avossa barracks in Salerno the conference entitled “Women’s history and gender studies”taught by the teacher Maria Rosaria Pelizzariholder of the homonymous teaching at the University of Salerno.

After the greetings of the Commander of the 19th “Cavalleggeri Guide” Regiment, Colonel Nicola IovinoProfessor Pelizzari, speaking about the history of Italian women over the last century, of which she analyzed long persistence and important epochal moments, traced a historical and normative framework of changes in gender relations in the long term.

The conference concluded a series of meetings promoted by the “Guides” on gender perspectives, which began in conjunction with International Women’s Day with the presence of the Equality Councilor of the Campania Region, Sunday Marianna Lomazzo and the Equality Councilor of the Province of Salerno, Anna Petrone.

Subsequently, the seminar on the “New family trial” opened with the authoritative interests of the deputy mayor of Salerno and councilor for social policies, Paky Memoli and the special curator of the Juvenile Court of Salerno, Francesca Carpinelli.

Finally, the speech “Equal opportunities and gender studies” was held by the Director of the Interdepartmental Observatory for Gender Studies and Equal Opportunities (OGEPO) of the University of Salerno, professor Ornella Malandrino.
