Music and poetry at the historic center of Avellino with E. Versi Jazz poetry
The jazz-poetry-band e.Versi returns to propose the original music and poetry project in Avellino, Friday 10 May 2024, starting at 9.00 pm, at Hirpinian Cluster, in the historic center of Avellino. The E.VERSI formation was born from the meeting between the poet Domenico Cipriano, the keyboardist Fabio Lauria and the trumpeter Carmine Cataldo, who continue their “creative laboratory”, begun about 15 years ago, where the poet is on stage, as an interpreter of the own poems and does so by interacting with music. A research that links poetry well to electronic sounds, blues sounds and jazz improvisation. The original formation offers refined readings/concerts, including existential poetry and civil commitment or reflections on current affairs, but also themes with a “convivial” taste, with poems where wine and its world are protagonists or a metaphor to tell the story of passions , the emotions, the memories that liven up our lives, without forgetting the love poems.
Over the years the group has been the protagonist in various festivals, also collaborating with other artists.
