From 6 to 10 May, Faenza hosts the Swedish delegation from the municipality of Trollhättan as part of the European project “PRO.CHILD – Bringing a European methodology to the protection of vulnerable children and youth”, of which the Union of Romagna Faentina is a partner and which provides for an international exchange and comparison on the issues of protection of minor victims of abuse or mistreatment.

An integral part of the project is also the involvement and participation of the stakeholders who make up the local protection network that works with these issues on a daily basis. The activities are organized by the Minors Service of the Union of Romagna Faentina, with the support of the European Projects Office. The delegation is made up of social workers, doctors, police and a public prosecutor, and during the week participates in activities and meetings aimed at learning about methods, intervention procedures and the local network involved in the protection of minors. In particular, on Wednesday 8th he attended and spoke at the thematic seminar organized by the URF Social Services “The protection of minors. Local reality and European horizons” at Faventia Sales.

The main objectives of the project are to promote a path of exchange of good practices between operators in the sector to improve knowledge and the effectiveness of interventions and lay the foundations for developing a shared European approach on the topic of child abuse which involves the entire system of local stakeholders.

The project benefits from the support of SERN, a transnational association that promotes relations between Sweden and the Emilia-Romagna Region.
