A 20-year-old man from Crotone was reported by the staff of the General Prevention and Public Relief Office of the Police Headquarters, for the crime of dangerous ignition and explosions; the relevant provision of the penal code punishes anyone who, without the authorization of the Authority, in an inhabited place or in its vicinity, along a public road or in the direction of it, lights fireworks or, in general, causes dangerous ignitions or explosions .
During the ordinary control activity of the territory in the Acquabona district, the police officers surprised the young manwho had just lit a fuse connected to a battery of fireworks, a very short distance from houses and trees, creating a situation of potential danger to public safety.
Therefore, after having secured the pyrotechnic devices and proceeded with their seizurethe operators referred the author, in a state of freedom, to the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Crotone.
